The cello is the closest instrument to the human voice and has been around since around 1530. It is a bass instrument but very versatile, with a rich tone and a place in every musical genre. It is essential in every ensemble, but also has the most stunning solo repertoire written for it. The sound is deeply layered and rich and appeals to the human ear.

Lessons are taught in groups or individually. Students need to develop good intonation, through singing tones on their instrument and develop a good relaxed posture. Practice is important to enjoy this instrument, with short, regular sessions the key to good learning and progress.
