Kat Hitti
Kat has been training in Music and Performing Arts from a young age, firstly training as a dancer and then studying piano and vocals. She trained at the London Theatre School in Musical Theatre and VIDLA in ‘Teaching Contemporary Vocals’ and then later went on to teach at numerous theatre schools in the Berkshire and Buckinghamshire areas where she began teaching 1:1 singing lessons and Artist Development.
She was scouted for girl group Espree in 2007 where she was signed to an independent label and performed alongside UK artists Lemar, Chico, Fundamental 03 and dance crew Flawless and touring US R&B artists Joe and Omarion. She was also a member of girl group DICE and was featured on XFactor 2010 where they reached bootcamp with the likes of One Direction, Cher Lloyd and Matt Cardle before deciding to go their separate ways.
Kat has since been a session singer for Channel 4’s Singer takes it all with Alan Carr and ITVs Stars in their Eyes reboot with Harry Hill winning both pilot shows and successfully helping scout for the main shows. She was also a featured singer on 2015’s Guitar Hero game.
In 2016 she was placed in vocal duo BKAT with Garage producer Sticky and had success with their debut single Galaxy which had numerous radio plays on BBC1XTRA, KISS 100 and Choice FM. This led to her creating a unique Songwriting course that she has gone on to teach across multiple stage schools and group sessions with older students expressing an interest in becoming artists themselves.
In 2019 Kat was nominated and shortlisted in the World Creative Courage Awards for Singing Teacher of the Year.
Kat has been teaching solidly for 15 years and uses her extensive experience in the contemporary music and TV industry within her class teaching, helping nurture young talent and encouraging a general love of music amongst children of all ages using POP, Rock and Musical Theatre as her main source of repertoire.
