Teaching Jobs

The various teaching teams at Berkshire Music Trust are close knit teams with a mixture of instrument skills within the team. The team teach complete beginners all the way up to those preparing for Conservatoire.

Our teachers range from very experienced with decades of service to new entrants to the profession. We all work together to ensure that our students get the best possible music education. Our teaching portfolio is varied. We deliver lessons in primary and secondary schools as well as our evening music centres.
Teaching is a mix of individual, groups and even sometimes whole class in both schools and also in our music centres. Ensembles are also being offered at most of our music centres giving young musicians the opportunity to play together starting from beginner ensembles where pupils can progress right up to our prestigious county youth orchestra and county wind orchestra.

There are lots of opportunities to get involved with the wider work, from early years to Dementia cafes and to working with special needs pupils and each team enjoy getting involved. The teaching team are an integral part of some of the live performance work that Berkshire Music offers from performing in the band in our Junior Music Festivals to providing musicians for some enrichment activities in schools. CPD sessions are often an opportunity for us to learn from each other’s specialist knowledge and insight.

Come and experience music education the Berkshire Music way!
